Following a road traffic accident you will incur losses not covered by your own insurance. If your car insurance is comprehensive you will be entitled to have your own car either repaired or replaced, all other losses are 'Uninsured Losses'. If your car insurance is third party then all your losses arising out of the accident are uninsured. It is your legal entitlement to claim your 'Uninsured Losses' from the driver at fault and may include all or some of  the following:

  • The provision of a replacement vehicle
  • Compensation for personal injury
  • Loss of earnings
  • Out of pocket expenses
  • Your policy excess      


Because the accident was not your fault you are fully entitled to recover all your losses from  the at-fault drivers insurer. If you do go through your own insurer you may temporarily lose your no claims bonus as well as having to pay excess, which could be as much as £500 or more. It is also unlikely that your insurance company will offer you a vehicle similar to your own as a replacement.


If you are comprehensively insured,  the time it takes for your own insurers to deal  with either the repair or replacement of your vehicle is on average 4 weeks. If you are insured on a third party basis then the claim will take as long as it takes the other party's insurers to deal with your losses.

As long as the accident was not your fault our service is completely free of charge to you. Prestige Auto Group will seek to recover the cost of the replacement vehicle as well as the cost of repairs to your vehicle back from the at-fault drivers insurer. At Prestige Auto Group we pride ourselves on our commitment to handle claims presented to us. If at the outset we can see little chance of success then we will advise you of this. However, we will offer all the assistance we can and in most cases take on and administer your claim

 

One important part of our service which sets us apart from the vast majority of other providers in the market place is that we will pay your excess and claim this back from the at-fault insurers.

All other losses such as damages to property, taxi fares and other out of pocket expenses can be claimed back from third party insurers. Simply send us any receipt etc. you have and we will claim these back on your behalf from the other party's insurers
